So having been in animation, sometimes characters had notes and certain 'rules' on how they should be animated/how their design works.

For future art purposes, if anyone from the production crew at Spindlehorse can chime in here, I need to know:

What the f u c k is the rule for Lucifer's (and Charlie's) cheek spots.
If there is any.

DO THEY STAY UP ON THE CHEEK OR DO THEY MOVE WITH THE CORNERS OF HIS MOUTH BECAUSE BOTH THINGS HAPPEN😂😂

I feel the same way about Vaggie’s X on her eye. Sometimes it’s over her hair and sometimes it’s under her hair. I honestly think a lot of this is due to the animators being overworked and underpaid, although I could be wrong.

I imagine working on this show isn’t so different as the shows I worked on as far as scheduling goes.

The animation part of a single episode for a tv show typically is only a 2-3 week period. Depending on how many scenes each animator gets assigned, it’s not a lot of time to make sure everything is /perfect/ so a lot can get missed in revisions.

So there’s a brief shot of what looks like part of Charlie’s ref sheet in a video that the hazbin account posted an hour ago that ALMOST KINDA SORTA answers my question?

It’s like.. a little bit of both?

Looks like they’re meant to stay on the cheek but move with the mouth just in the way the skin on your face would stretch when your mouth moves… so moving within a certain range on the face.
Which I’m sure can be a complicated rule to follow when the expressions on these characters can get absolutely crazy exaggerated. Hm…
